Default U.S. Personal Spending Rises in January but Personal Income Up Less Than Expected

Personal consumer expenditure (PCE) rose 0.5% in January 2010 following December 2009�s 0.3% gain (initially reported as 0.2%). The rise in spending in the month was slightly above market expectations for a 0.4% gain going into today�s report. January�s rise in spending was in spite of a more moderate 0.1%...
